Friday morning while messing around on R-MATEY, we happened to glance over at the launch ramp and noticed that Andrew Custis was launching a beautiful green hulled Ranger 27. Not wanting to miss out on any of the action we headed over there and met Mark, the new owner of BOBOLINK. Great news is that BOBOLINK, along with RESTLESS (another R27) and R-MATEY are all moored at Gate 9.

Later that Friday morning Mike and Heather from California, owners of the charter R29 TUG TIME, stopped by R-MATEY for a visit. Mike and Heather were up here for the Port of Bellingham Charter Fest which we attended on Saturday but missed seeing the TUG TIME crew.

Also on Saturday Capt Mac (ISLAND RANGER) was aboard the BOBOLINK giving the crew an orientation on safety and boat handling. We stopped by to say a quick hello. Nice seeing you Capt Mac.

Counting another R29 (name unknown) we have at least five Ranger Tugs here at Squalicum Harbor. There's also a couple of other Ranger Tugs stored somewhere in Whatcom County. The Squalicum fleet is growing.

Ahoy R-Matey!
That is great that there are more Ranger Tugs in the Bellingham area. There are several here in Anacortes and with "Nellie Too" dropping anchor here, we are increasing also. I have seen several 21 footers in driveways and the Cap Sante marina. Is there a possible "RTGT" in the future in the San Juan area?

My family (Melissa, Mark and kids Tim, Kellye and Caitlin) and Bobolink (pronounced Bob O'Link) are happy to be part of the Squalicum family of Ranger Tugs. Andrew and Capt Mac are, as you all know, awesome. We had a great weekend and enjoyed meeting Joe and Ruth (R-Matey) for the first time as well as seeing Mike and Heather (Tug Time) again. We met them previously at Capt Mac's Cruising 101 in Everett. We look forward to seeing you all on the water.

Ruth and Joe:

sorry we missed you on Saturday, San Juan charters had some owners meeting in the morning at the beginning of the day. We will be back up on April 30th to actually get to take the boat out for a few days, keeping our fingers crossed for good weather. We will hope to see you then

The Charterfest was a success I believe, lots of charter interest in Tug Time, we had a very enjoyable weekend. It was fun to see the new 27 dropped in the water for the first time

Take care

Mike & Heather
