Raw water pump impeller:

This topic is for just the fresh water owners. No salt water owner’s.
How often do you change your raw water pump impeller? Or how often
do you have it serviced? I am on my third season and plan on an inspection,
probable change out next week. I am still under 100 hours on the engine.

Water pumps and the impellers in those pumps are not affected differently by fresh water or salt water. It's the amount of hours you've run the engine. Recommended time to change is once a year or every 100 engine hours.

.. invest in a Speed Seal Life water pump cover .. I had occasion to check mine the other day for the first time since it was installed .. saves a lot of frustration and time and offers some security regarding damaged impeller due to lack of water flow for any reason .. Rob
