Raw water wash down switch blows fuse

Fuse on switch blew whenever I tried to use the wash down pump. I replaced the switch but still blows the fuse as soon as I switch on the pump. What to do next? Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like a short in the pump to me. However, I would trace the wires behind the switch to the pump. The switch and wires are exposed and in a very wet area. I'd trace and check the condition of the switch and wiring first.

Severun , thanks I was thinking the same but my not so supple body is saying no no!
