I found the pump on while doing work on the boat out of water. Turned it off. Later on checked it. Turned it on, switch illuminated but no familiar pump noise. I am assuming that the time it ran while dry fried it. Replace the unit or is there something I am missing hopefully?
As an adjunct does anyone know of a water proof pushbutton switch I can replace the (#$%^##) switch that comes with the pump. It's design lends itself to replacement of pump as it is easily caught on clothing, nets, cords etc. and pulled to on position. I guess it needs to be about 15 amps (sounds like a lot to me as this will start a 1hp motor at 110 volts) as the fuse protection is 20 amps.
Thanks
