Has anyone made bug screen for the rear opening window on a 2023 R27 OB? It seems simple enough until I try to deal with the interference from window lift struts and their brackets and that has got me stumped. I want to open the rear window for ventilation here in the steamy South but without inviting in all manner of creeping, flying, biting, and buzzing bugs. Suggestions?

I just finished making a screen for the aft window on our 2023 R27OB. I purchased 1 inch adhesive Velcro from Amazon and used some leftover black window screen from Lowe’s/Home Depot. I put the fuzzy Velcro on the inner window frame, then stuck the hook Velcro on. I stretched the screen onto the adhesive side of the hook Velcro and trimmed.

For the strut attachments, I just cut out a notch. I brought the now trimmed screen with hook Velcro adhered home and sewed some excess Sunbrella binding (Sailrite) to cover the adhesive and protect/stiffen the edges.

Will be testing out this weekend on the boat. I have attached a couple of pics that will hopefully illustrate. We think any unscreened space caused by the notches for strut attachments will be minimal
