Our mast came down in moderately heavy seas (screw in turnbuckle snapped), taking the fiberglass base with it. Fortunately (I guess), the remaining wire held and it did not go overboard. We are now ready to reinstall it, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to rewire it. Attached is a picture of what I'm dealing with. Does anyone know which wire goes where? Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your little mishap, but should be able to figure out the wires by simply using any volt detector. Have someone engage the horn and detect which wire is hot, next do the anchor light, then the search light. On my R-21 (2009) there is a connection on the smoke stack for the anchor and search light. The wires for the horn pass through the roof cap under the horn. The ground wire should be common for the plug on the smoke stack, the horn has its own ground wire if I remember correctly.
Best of luck on the fix. Bob

Thanks so much. Makes perfect sense.

Hi - just curious how you lost your mast in high seas? I have a 21 too and have had mast issues but from trailering - hope you get it fixed! !I have some pictures of the wiring when i took my top part off if that helps -

We were bouncing along against the wind on our local river in 2-4’ chop when we heard a horrible crack/ bang and the entire assembly came down against the port side of the cabin. We lashed it to the rails in place until we got to the dock, where we found that one of the screws into the starboard turnbuckle had snapped. Guy lines were tight when we left.
