Hi, we have a little handheld vacuum for our boat, but are looking for a better one. Anyone have a recommendation for us?

We would like (but are not dead set upon): Battery powered. Semi-portable. Bagless.

Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks Tugnuts!

We use a Dysun handheld. Expensive but worth every penny in my opinion. Much more suction, quieter, and longer run time than any handheld we have ever used.

I use the Ryobi battery powered. In a field of mediocre tools that Ryobi normally supplies it is a surprisingly good vacuum compared to its peers. Not good for more than normal crumbs and bits that seem to spontaneously appear on boats though. Photo here if interested with charger shown-

We have a 12vdc Black Decker cord type that plugs in to a cigarette lighter type 12vdc outlet. Works great but when it dies we will replace it with an 18vdc cordless Black and decker unit we use for spot pickups around our house. It requires 120volt for charging but it is cordless. Both work fine and have cleanable and replaceable filter units.

The Milwaukee 18V shopvac is a very good choice. The Lithium battery you choose will determine how long the vacuum will last on a single battery
