The red overhead lights in the cockpit are lit slightly when the switch is in the off position. I have pulled the fuse to the 3-switch panel for now, but I am looking for a solution to the problem. Thanks!

Hi Ozzy,

Looks like you may have a light (no pun intended) short in that system. Something is completing the circuit and is allowing the lights to come on, albeit just barely. I would begin by checking the switch for those lights. Also, make sure that all electrical wiring at that switch is good as well and is not shorting out anywhere. Hope that helps but let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

Ralf

Ralf,

I checked the wiring at the switch panel and all wires are firmly attached and appear to be in good condition. This has been a problem since new. It would seem as though the switch(es) may be bad.

I had the same issue with my 2018 R29S. RT Replaced the 3 switch panel in the cockpit and that cured the problem. He said that these sometimes leak voltage.

I also had issues with the Underwater lights. Sometimes they would flash by themselves when the switch was off.

This issue was cured with the new 3 switch panel as well.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the information! That would seem to be the path of least resistance. See what I did there? 😀
