During the pacific northwest winters what % relative humidity range should I am be aiming for inside the cabin? I will be keeping my 27OB in the water at my marina all winter.

I have a Camfro dehumidifier and an small-Area Desiccant Dehumidifier connected to shore power. (Amazon link: https://tinyurl.com/yye94273). I am using SensorPush to remotely monitor the temp and relative humidity. (Amazon link: https://tinyurl.com/y58welbd)

I think that keeping the RH between 40 % and 50 % will be sufficient to deter mold and mildew. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
John

I have had mine in your same climate for the past two winters -Eagle Harbor, BI WA. The "safe range" on my humidity gauge is 40-60% and I keep it there all winter. I set a small household dehumidifier on the counter and run the drain hose into the sink. When it runs, it provides a small amount of heat as well. In the V Birth I have a Calframo on the floor and open all cabinets.

I have Pali heater in the engine compartment just in case, but I doubt it will ever be needed where we are.

I'm in Eagle Harbor as well, at EHM. I appreciate your response. I hadn't thought to open the cabinets but in general it seems I'm doing the right things.

We’re next door neighbors! I’m at Eagledale Moorings. See you on the docks!

That's great. I've always been envious of those boat houses next door. Thanks again.
