This past weekend out, our Wallace cooktop and diesel heater overheated in 5 minutes and the smoke from the diesel was both outside in coming up through the cooktop. I shut it off immediately.
To replace the same cooktop is around $3000, no thanks. I found an Eno two burner marine propane cooktop for $379 at West marine.

So, to get the Wallace cooktop out, the Cuisinart Microwave/Convection oven must be removed. Unfortunately, the boat's entry door frame protrudes into the cabin such that the top left edge of the oven frame cannot get passed it without removing the boat's door frame. Or one would have to cut out a small upper edge section of the oven's 3 inch wide side edge trim to get passed the door frame.

Has anyone ever removed the door frame or got the oven out another way?

I removed the Cuisinart when I owned a C26 a couple of times when I installed engine compartment ventilation. There was plenty of room to slide it out.The C28 should be the same.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, in the C28 the door frame protrudes too far in to let the top left corner of the oven get past; the bottom corner is OK.

So, I received a call back from a Cutwater tech-rep and yes, the cabin entry door must be removed to take out the Cuisinart microwave convection oven on a C28.

Will wait until late fall to take this one on.

What year is your C28? I have a 2017 and I have taken it out many times without removing the door. I installed my waste tank vent filter behind it so usually take it out once a year without any issue of taking the door off.

Our C28 is a 2011.
