Has something changed ? Patrick's OP stated...

"So mark your calanders cap sante is booked for September 6 7 8 2013. The planning is underway , let's see if we can get 70 boats this time around .

Thanks
Patrick 😀 😀"

You have mentioned Thu Sep 5th for arrivals! Should we be arriving Sep 5th or Sep 6th ?

Also, typically in the past we don't need to make slip/dock reservations… is this correct for this year at Cap Sante ? … just checking as as there will be so many boats I'm wondering about space at Cap Sante and don't want to be left out anchored in the bay alongside the oil tankers. Maybe all will be explained shortly so forgive me for asking prematurely. 🙂

Barry - the rendezvous schedule plans cover arrivals Thursday, SEP 5 - depart Sunday, SEP 8 - three nights (6-7) - as stated most recently. The Thursday through Sunday approach is the same as recent years. Reservations will be made by the organizers. Arrival dates is up to the individual boaters. We are working with the Cap Sante harbor master to accommodate those who have indicated in this thread they will be attending.

Advanced registration, date of arrival, etc. is forthcoming. This thread is being used for planning purposes.

Cheers,

Bruce

Lady Di is planning on motoring up from DesMoines early Friday, Sep 6th. We had planned to leave early Monday on the 8th. However, if everyone is leaving on Sunday, we may motor down halfway on Sunday and stay Sunday night somewhere south while en-route back to DesMoines marina.

Are there any boats staying through to Monday the 8th?

Monday is more attractive as there should be less boats on the water. I haven't decided yet on leaving Sunday or Monday and it all depends how we feel and what time the breakfast bell sounds.

BTW -- Anthony's which is right in front of Dock C (a mere 3 mins walk from the Dock to the restaurant) and throws a happy hour late afternoon in the bar section. The bar section has some nice window tables and the food/drink prices are close to 50% discounted from what I recall when attending the Anacortes Trawlerfest earlier this year.

Rum tum tugger here,.

we plan to attend the get to gether at cap sante also.

Hello from Just Right, C28, jmkalbert
I thought we signed up at the Jan Seattle boatshow. But since I don't see our name, please add our C28 arriving on Friday.
Thanks, John and Mary Kalbert

Greetings - additions and a deletion made. Please check to make sure you're on the list. Let me know.

78 boats plus 9 from the factory!

Thanks - Bruce

Hey Bruce , Andrew, Jeff et al:

We are SO looking forward to our first rendez-vous. Looks like it's shaping up to be an epic turnout. Can't wait to meet other tugnuts and fly the flag at Cap Sante 🙂

Plase let us know if we can help in any way. We plan to arrive Thursday eve. So if you need help with set up, check in, whatever, feel free to PM us. Happy to help out...

We will try and make it at this late date.
Could join the group July 28 in Nanaimo.
Bob and Kathleen

I will be trailing up to the Rendezvous from San Francisco leaving on the morning of Sept 3rd. This will be my first trip north of the Oregon border. Any suggestions for rest stops or trailer parks on HWY 5 would be appreciated. I also have a 13# dog and need to know if there are any special requirements I need? Looking forward to meeting my fellow "Tuggers". Andy Geiser on the "Keep on Tuggin".

As far as I know there are no special requirements pertaining to dogs of any size.

I cannot give any advice of trailer parks but for I-5 rest stops be aware there aren't that many as you travel north through WA to just north of Mt. Vernon where you would turn off and head over west to Anacortes. There's one about 5 miles just north of the Toutle River at MP 54, then another just north of Marysville at MP 207, and this one has a pump out facility.

You can get more detail for I-5 WA stops at http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/safety/restareas/restareamap.htm

A few questions as this will be our first group outing
Do I need to arrange a slip space with Cap Sante Marine or is this being done by the organizer?
We may be towing the inflatable (14 feet) so additional space will be required.
Can US custom be cleared at the marina? Contact number customs?

Regards
Bob & Anita Crawford

If all goes well, I hope to arrive late Tuesday the 3rd or early on the 4th. Where do I check in and get a berth? Thanks.
