replace timing belt

Greetings from Vermont,

We are ready to replace the timing belt in our D3 Volvo Penta engine in the 2014' R27 Ranger Tug we own. Do you have a service manual our mechanic can download or we can buy providing information on this replacement? This is a maintenance issue with the engine having over 1300 hours on it. Our mechanic is suggesting that the engine be pulled in order to access this area, or can it be done without pulling?

We'd like to launch on Lake Champlain in early April if this project can get done. Any advice, suggestions, input would be most appreciated. We love our Ranger Tug, it is the best boat ever for our traveling the Small Loop, New York Canals, Saint Lawrence Seaway, and Canadian waters.

This is a video we did awhile ago on how to replace the impeller on the R-25/27 models. You can use the same steps to get to the front of the engine. You can show this to your mechanic, you shouldn't have to pull the engine.
