Is it possible to change out the underwater lights without having to remove the boat from the water? My 2023 R25 stays in my slip year-round and I don't have a trailer.

Thanks in advance

James

I've replaced the lights on my R31 trim tabs while in the water, it was cold, but entirely possible

The connections on my c30 are inside the boat. The lights come with a long enough cord on them to be routed through the transom and the connection is made up there. The rest of the process is strictly mechanical, and involves you getting in the water and not dropping hardware.

As long as they are mounted to the trim tab, you can replace them while the boat is still in the water. You will probably have to replace the bracket that they attach to, as most quality underwater lights are round. Also, make sure the lights you buy have a bronze housing to retard marine growth.
