Reverse Cycle Heater

I have a 2019 R29CB with a "reverse cycle heater". With fall coming I'd like to use the heater. I tried the controls next to the helm and got air flow but no heat. Is the air temperature controlled by the air conditioning controls?

The weak link in the air conditioner is probably the reversing valve that turns it into a reverse cycle heater. When mine failed I had to replace the entire unit. The guy that installed it suggested I never use the reverse cycle rather purchase an inexpensive space heater that I use when heat is required. It’s quieter, more reliable, and the event fails I can maintain it with a trashcan.

In addition you should know that it takes a few minutes for the reverse cycle to reach your set temperature. Also keep in mind the colder the water your boating in the longer it takes and the harder your system has to work to keep you warm.
