I am delighted to second that report. This was our first rendezvous and it was great. The factory team, supported by dealers like PBH, were fantastic. The food and drinks were first class, thanks to Garmin, Volvo, Roche etc all.. How can everyone be thanked? The dock staff, the guy who gave us a ride to the beach, everyone. Hopefully they will read this. Great event!

I'm delighted also to be third in line here to thank RT and all the participating groups of people. It's simply an amazing event which should not be missed by the RT / CW owners.

On my return trip from Roche to Edmonds we were not the last to leave and left it quite late and left around Noon time. MY son and his wife had flown up on Saturday and were flying back late Sunday, so we hung about for a while on Sunday before heading off.

With the clear sky, good visibility, calm seas I felt this was a good opportunity to run our new 2018 R-27 Outboard as hard as I dared. Once clear of Roche harbour I opened this 'baby' up and cruised at high speed which varied from 25 to 38 mph. I ran for extended times between 32 and 38 mph as that was what I learned should be done for the F300 by the fella presenting at the Yamaha seminar at the meeting. I was seeing around 1.6 to close to 2.0 mpg at these speeds with the engine trim left at a constant 3 bars.

When we reached our home port of Edmonds (some 80 miles from Roche) I figured we averaged a good 28 mph.

Let me say, the new 2018 R-27 is absolutely awesome, especially with weather and water conditions I had this past Sunday. Moving along at 35 mph the boat is level, fast and ROCK solid. Seeing significant short swells can cause some excitement but the boat flies and then plows easily with its 22º V causing water to be all about in a secure manner and gave much delight to my grandson.

The F300 goes into the shop for its 20 hr break-in service as it now has 33 hrs on it..... and we've already cruised for 358 miles according to the Yamaha engine display.

Thanks to all for such a great time! What a fantastic group! The wheels are already churning on ideas for the "Prates of the Caribbean" theme next year!

Ranger and Cutwater teams: thank you again for yet another great event. From your welcome crew to logistics planners, we appreciate all the effort that went into making the Rendezvous a special time for us all. And to Global Marine and Roche Harbor for several memorable dinners with old and new friends.

And HUGE thanks to Kenny, Rolf & the other Factory/Garmin/Volvo MacGyvers who tirelessly traipsed the docks. (We missed you, Ivan...congrats on the new baby!)

I am really disappointed that more participants did not respond to thank the Ranger Tug or Cutwater folks. Thank you for all you did, it was a great event.

Adding my two cents worth of kudos to the staff of the RT/Cutwater Boats organization for an excellent Tugnuts Rendezvous.

I hadn't been to one in several years, and it was great to reconnect with those I've known from previous rendezvous and make new friends with the many newbies to the RT/Cutwater fold.

Sign me down for next year's event!!!

Thank you Fluid Motion for a wonderful Rendezvous. We've never experienced a better ownership experience then we have with you and all of the wonderfully dedicated people you have representing Ranger Tugs and Cutwater Boats. Thanks for fostering the boating lifestyle we all love so much by hosting, per Jeff Messmer, "The Worlds Largest Boat Rendezvous".

Another THANK YOU shout out to the entire RT/CW team for yet another outstanding Tugnuts event at Roche Harbor. In an era of disposable products it is wonderful to be a customer of a manufacturer that cares as much, if not more, for their customers as much as their products. I had a chance on the Desolation Sound cruise to share with Jeff Messmer my thoughts which I hope are worth repeating here: RT/CW make a great product; but what they do best is take care of their customers. It is unique in the industry and in business and is why they are so successful in not just building a thriving business but even better, in building a community.

Thank you Jeff, Andrew, Kenny, Sam, John, and the entire RT/CW team. You are the BEST, and your hard work and dedication are most appreciated!

Many many thanks to everyone who made the 2017 Rendezvous a reality! So fun to meet up with old friends and make new ones 🙂

The food was fabulous, thanks to Chef Bill Shaw! Roche Harbor Marina staff worked tirelessly to make every smooth for us. Thanks again to all of the supporting sponsors, and a huge thanks to all of the Fluid Motion folks!
