I've always had trouble seeing the rocker switch identification when running at night - I don't like to have interior lights on - so I added some panels with led strip lights. Downlights only, illuminates the switches and the floor. Turned out great. Small pushbutton switch on armrest to turn them off and on

Yes, I made the covers myself out of some cherry Harwood I had

You can buy the Carling Contura II rocker switch bodies or just the switch covers at a number of places. Carling rocker switch covers (aka Actuators) are typically $5 to $10 each at New Wire Marine, Spemco or Pacer Group. There is also a tool that makes removal of the existing covers very easy for $5.
