When we had our Cutwater we used the Bruce style Lewmar anchor for the first two years. I never had an issue with setting it and also never had an issue with weather conditions that would cause an average anchor to drag. We then purchased a Rocna 10 and never looked back. This anchor was an automatic set it hooked and we never had an issue with drag. I anchored a few times in an open unprotected area with winds of 25 to 30 mph just to test its ability to hold. I am sold!!! I sold the Cutwater and the boat I have now has a Danforth anchor. These anchors have been around for years. I have used them but I can say I have had anchor drag with them from time to time. I want to use a Rocna but the roller and pulpit configuration on the boat will require some customizing to make it work. The Vulcan will work perfectly nothing to change except the anchor. For those that have used the Vulcan what are your reviews ? From what I have read it gives all the benefits of the original Rocna Design without the roll bar.
