We have a 2018 CB30 and just can't seem to come up with a good place to mount 8'+ rods inside. Tried to store rods in the birth under the dinette, but got tired of "fishing" them in and out of there. For now I have a half dozen rods on the counter to port and just move them outside to the rocket launchers when we are underway. Sure would be nice to have a rack somewhere out of the way but still easily accessible. Suggestions?

We have a C28 and I built a rod holder for the ceiling. it uses the existing screw holes in the trim with longer screws to attach it. I think our longest rods are about 6' or so - I'm not sure if 8' would make it in ours but with your larger boat it might fit. I am able to stand/sit under them with no problem and I'm a tad shy of 5'11".

I'm not into drilling the interior, so I'm doing what you do. I have rubber rug protector covering the quarter deck and put rods there. If they will stored be a while, I have a large storage tube and a bag for reels. I'm constantly moving from one species to another so many rods are rotating. I use the granny seat that will hold up to 4 heavy duty bluefin tuna rods and 5 salmon rods when they are 'in action'. I'm happy with our CWs as hybrid cruise/fish boats...I look at a bunch of other fancier boats and say, 'where are the rod holders, fish well, live well'...and why are you popping up on my FB feed, like AID (artificial intelligence dumb).
