The rotary switch for selecting the source of AC power (shore, gen, inverter) has two lights associated with each position. One light indicates that AC is available from that source. What is the other light?

red light = reverse polarity.

I have a very dim red reverse polarity light indication when connected to a 15amp outlet in the winter storage building. I never noticed the light when connected to 30 amp power in a slip, but it could have been there because it is so dim. It is not a true reverse polarity problem, but what is it? I doubt that the amperage has anything to do with it. I moved the house batteries to the port side of my R27 recently. Did I mess up something with my ground?

Corrosion on the plug and/or outlet contacts can result in a false reverse polarity indication. My experience is that a poor ground connection will trigger the reverse polarity warning.
Might be a good idea to use a simple 3 pin plugin circuit tester to verify that the outlet is properly wired. These testers are available from most hardware and builder supplies stores at about $10 or less. Lights on the tester identify any wiring faults. Test at the "wall" outlet and at "output" end of the extension cord.
