Hello

This Friday we are installing a hailer/PA/foghorn and need to run a couple of wires down from the mast to the Garmin 200 located in the helm.

Any suggestions on routing those wires would be appreciated.

Bob, last year I mounted a HD TV antenna on the small plate above the radar dome and brought the antenna wire down the mast assembly to the entry point (on the stack) for the radar wiring bundle. I removed the stack and feed the coaxial cable through with the radar bundle. Once you get the wire through the stack you may or may not need to drill another hole to feed inside the boat. I did but you may not as i am thinking your wires are probably somewhere around a 12 or 14 gauge. Once inside the boat the fun begins as you need to snake to helm station. The main wiring bundle on our R25 ('09) runs down the starboard side behind the galley shelve. Once I had the cabin ceiling dropped, I then used an electricians wiring snake to pull the wire to desired location. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply to my plea for help.

I think you nailed it with the reference to the "Galley shelving."

That's the "key" and that is where I will bring the wires down and into the cabin.

Thank you so much!

Bob
