Well, it's winterized and going into the warehouse in the morning. Six months...maybe a little less to ice out and I'll be back in Lake George!!!!

Phil

Me Too ! I'll be back on Lake Otsego in Cooperstown!

Spirit of Gratitude is grinning from Southern California. Hanging in Avalon with the jazz fest going on. Shorts,no shirt and lots of suntan lotion! Quick! somebody get me a towel for all this sweat on my forehead. 🙂

Wow, you guys can be cruel. 😉 I thought this was going to be an "I sold the boat" post. 😱 Glad to see I was wrong.

I live in the same town as Herb and Wilma (Willie's Tug) in the Tropical Tip. Before we moved here, we spent a lot of winters here. Great thing about trailerable boats... the trailer. If you are still working, the thought of being able to escape the cold and boat year 'round can be the incentive you need to hang in there. If you are retired and choose to stay in the cold... well, re-read what those other guys said above. 😎

Sorry you had to put the boat away due to the weather. Been there, done that... no t-shirt and I don't wanna do it again. Reading posts of other folks boating helped me... good luck.

Jim B.

While we are not in sunny California with Stuart and Bridget or down at the Tropical Tip with Herb and Jim, we are in Seattle where we chose to boat year round. The difference being, it might be just a bit colder, a bit wetter, and maybe a bit foggier. However, we are in one of the most incredible boating locations in the world! Orca's, eagles, seals, and osprey all around!

I just don't understand how people can go six months without being on the water......

Hey...our boats last twice as long!

Phil

Good response! But, you only get half the use!!! 😎

Now I'm wondering. This was my first season with my Tug and I put 80 fun filled hours on the clock in 6 months. How about you other folks....are you burning diesel, or sippin martinis at the dock?

Phil

Had our boat for 1 1/2 years and we have 420 hours on her. We don't waste time with martinis.... We feel good in the mornings!
This was some of today's fun....

I am only half as sad as Phil, I'll be bringing ILLUSIONS to FL in January, hence a boat that can be trailered!

We have had Karma for just shy of two years now. We have 480 hours on her! And we still work for a living........ Just imagine the hours she would have on her if we were retired!

In fact, we are headed for Bell Harbor in Downtown Seattle on Friday. We will overnight there and then head to Blake Island for Saturday night. Anyone wanting to join us, please feel free to do so.

Hey Dave, don't forget to use the $10.00 off coupon we all received at the Rendezvous. We stayed two nights at Bell Harbor last weekend and found the coupon...after we'd paid. I'm sure we'll get a chance to use it later this winter. No sad days
for Seoul Survivor II. Year around boating!

Just put the plow and the salter on the truck....way too early! I think next year I'm gonna winterize everything but the engine raw water intake, keep a jug of RV antifreeze in the head for flushes and leave the Tug in the water for a Thanksgiving cruise!!!

Phil

Plow and Salter - these are used to do what ?

Could not go out today Small craft Advisory in Big Bend in Gulf of Mexico....

So i spent some of the day planning Thanksgiving trip to Florida Keys. will trailer[ day trip] and then cruise.

Plow and Salter ??? have checked Ranger manual and no reference..

May go to st Augustine next week and cruise some of the ICW.

Wait a minute , I found them -- you use them to move SNOW

Sorry but I am 89 miles to the Atlantic and about the same to the Gulf....

I shall follow weather Channel to see just how much your neat tools are used this year.

Wishing all the Best !!!!

No sympathy then for those of us in the south that never get to use our cabin heaters or reverse cycle our a/c? 😛

You were right on the first post, PhilR...
