This question may be out there already somewhere, but, I could not find it. The bulbs in the chandelier fall out easily and will fly out if you hit hard on big waves. I don't see any way to easily secure them and would appreciate hearing solutions for keeping bulbs secure.

Hi Rocky!

You may have an issue with the tabs on the bulbs. Check to make sure that the bulbs are able to get a grip inside the socket in the lamp. The tabs on the bulbs should exert a little pressure to be able to hold inside the socket. Also check the sockets themselves. Not sure what yours looks like exactly at the moment, (we've had a few different types through the years) but make sure if there are any tabs inside the sockets, (some lamps with this type of socket have tabs that will help hold the bulb in place) that they are not bent outward in relation to the socket, but inward so they can place pressure on the bulb. Hope this helps for now.

Thanks!

Ralf

Thanks Ralf, attached are pix of the Chandelier and mushroom shaped bulbs. Kindly advise the bulb details so that I can order others that may have a solid fit. I don't see any way to insure the current bulbs get a good grip. There are some wire tabs that can be bent out a bit, but, still are very wobbly.

Hey there Rocky,

Thanks for the additional info. We do not have these fixtures any longer and I therefore cannot check exactly which bulbs these take. However, I believe this is your bulb:

Just for further info, I have not heard anyone else having these issues, so it's probably safe to assume that a new bulb will do the trick. Let us know if that works.

Thanks!

Ralf

That looks right so I ordered some on Amazon...free 2 day delivery. I'll let you know if they stay in better. I am surprised that others don't have issues since it's a friction fit, but, I guess most don't have big surf and seas to contend with. Some waves will knock the fillings out of your teeth...but, I try to avoid those these (senior) days. 😀

If the bulbs still pop out, I might try wedging in some ceramic material that is safe with electric current.
