I’m ordering LED lights for my 2012 R27. The salon light bulbs have either single or dual contacts. If you have a boat of my vintage and know how many contacts those lights have, save me a trip to the boat!

I did mine over a year ago, the two lamps on the wall, over the table and over the sink use bayonets with two contacts. The lamps recessed in the ceiling use g4 sockets and the leads may need to be trimmed in some cases. And the rest are wedge sockets if I recall correctly. I have a r27 2015/16

Replaced mine in May -

Search Amazon for "G4 LED Bulb 10 Pack, KingSo Bi-Pin Base, 20W Halogen Bulb Equivalent, AC/DC 12 Volt, Warm White 3000K" ten for $9.00 - great replacement for the ceiling recessed bulbs - near perfect match for color and intensity of light. ***one trick, the leads are a little thinner than the existing bulb leads, so they need a small bend to keep from falling out of the socket - just a twist with needlenose pliers works great! - also, remember LED's are polarity sensitive, if you try one direction and it doesn't work, just flip it over***

Search "Overland Solar 12V LED Lightbulb, Wedge/T-10 Base (Warm White)" for the much more expensive ($10.00 earh) replacement for the wall lamps - also a near perfect match for color - maybe even brighter intensity...

Very happy with the replacements!

PS - our Cutwater 26 is also 2012

id recommend you get marine LED's such as those from Marinebeam. they need a RF filter otherwise some LED';s push out a ton of radio interference on the VHF...

also marine beam has a ranger specific section that lists the bulbs you need...

Have Marinebeam lights on the way. The boat already had some LEDs, but not all had been converted by the previous owner. I’m taking care of the rest. The four overhead cabin lights were not converted and they are real power hogs.

single best power management upgrade you can make!

Don’t forget to convert the anchor and navigation lights to LEDs if that hasn’t been done yet!

I installed the recessed ceiling LED lights today and the leads had to be trimmed. I used the old bulbs to measure length and snipped them with a small pair of diagonal cutters. Easy and I’m really pleased with the light.
