San Juan’s extend ban on transient lodging.

So in other words, there is no planned date to open the county.
This is not good!
Those businesses that rely heavily on tourism for their livelihood will really be hurting.
Hope they can survive!

Ouch for us.
Bigger ouch for the B&Bs, small hotels, kayak tour companies, whale watching companies, restaurants, retail stores, marinas, and all the other businesses that are struggling to survive in San Juan County as well as their employees who are wondering how to pay the bills!
No good answer to all of this!

SJC moved to Limited Capacity Transient Lodging on 6/3/20. This means lodging, camping, etc can reopen at 50%

Marinas and inns are taking reservations now. Made a few for our island hopping trip the end of this month.

The docks are mostly empty today here at Roche Harbor. Wondering where everyone is?

Curt,
I think folks were looking at the weather forecast. We are holding off our South Sound trip for a week waiting for it to stop raining.
Stay dry!

Hi Al,

Yeah, it was a bit of a joke! 😀 We are holing up here in Roche to wait out the expected rain tomorrow. Having said this, it has been reasonably nice up here all week! Seriously, only a drop or two of rain on one day! Great boating, much drier than down south sound!

It’s usually a little nicer in the San Juan weather wise than the mainland.
