I'm proud to announce that Sarah Grey arrived on Hilton Head Island yesterday and has made two successful ventures into the coastal Atlantic Ocean.
Thanks to the good folks at Wefings Marine in Florida, Sarah Grey (R-25) was exchanged for Little Lady (R-21EC) and takes her place among the boats at the Salty Dog Cafe and South Beach Marina. You can check her out at: http://www.saltydog.com/webcam/ .
First Mate Annette, Sarah Grey (the cat), and I hope to begin the cruising season just after July Fourth.
We'll keep you Tugnuts posted on our adventures.
And if you're interested in a great little R-21EC, contact Wefings Marine in Florida 850 670 8100 (http://wefings.com/)

Kent,
Congratulations on your new baby!!! I know you will get many hours of enjoyment and adventure out of her! The R-25 is a great vessel!

Congratulations Kent. It must be quite a change going from the 21 to the 25. We debated for about 5 mins when reviewing both and without a doubt the 25 was our choice even though it was the 21 that caught my eye first as Jeff Messmer had it parked down at my local gas station. We had a chat and a few months later were were in our R-25. I told Jeff he should simply drive about town towing the R-21 and visit all the gas stations.... 😉

Welcome to the fleet, Sarah Grey! It's great that you can name your boat for your cat. If I did that, my boat would be Mr. Black or Mr. White. Either way, not a great name for a boat! Our R29 will be ready in a few weeks and it will be called Poppy's Legacy, as my father-in-law, known to my kids as Poppy, was my business partner and my best friend as well as a wonderful grandfather...so when I go out on our boat I will be honoring him and thinking of him, as I would not have the life I have without his wonderful mentoring and guidance.
Can you email me info about your R21? My son is interested.
All the best,
Harmony

Our R-25 Poppy, in Palm Coast Florida was named similarly in remembrance of, Father who was a glider pilot at Arnhem, aunt who served in the navy in the Far East WW2 and an aunt who was an aeronautical mathematician at Boscombe Down - all contributed in their legacies. The poppy is the chosen flower of remembrance ever since Flanders.
