Sorry for the cross-topic posting.

If anyone has installed a satellite TV dome on their tug and have pictures, please send to:

barrydcohen@comcast.net

or let me know where I can find them in your photo album.

And one on a C28:

Bruce:

Did you have to modify your mast, or was it just done with additional brackets?

And, does anybody have a TV connection that also allows Internet connection?

It came from the factory that way. I believe their latest mast for the R-29 has incorporated the additional hardware.

Cheers,

Bruce

The Nellie Too has mounted a Satellite Antenna (KVH M3) for TV viewing (Football games). The photo album has photos of the installation for anyone interested.

It can be relativey easily mounted on the mast or the roof aft . Barry , I am out till Monday , but Ill look for pic of the installations we have done . It adds weight on the mast ,but is still manageable. There is already a path for the wiring of the Radar . There are 2 models, one for Dish and One for DirecTV. Make sure you get the right one if you already have an account .

Nita and I mounted the M3 because the range of the M1 is very limited (check with the antenna dealer for the limitations). The new mast standard for the R29 I believe is for the mount of the M1 size antenna, which is much lighter that the M3. I believe the new factory mast is to conceal the older style TV antenna. We had a new mast made which can handle the weight and give adequate space for the M3. There were modifications made to the TV connectors for the M3.
