The weather weasels didn't forecast it right... thank goodness. It turned out to be a spectacular day on the water, with a mostly sunny afternoon, near calm water, and light wind. We had a nice group of people on the whale watch boat today, and they were treated to plenty of Killer Whale activity.

In that post, I do mention one private boater who violated all the distance rules. As we headed north, I did see a beautiful blue hull Ranger Tug... and that was certainly NOT the violator. So, if you were driving a blue hull Ranger Tug on the west side of San Juan Island today... wasn't that some FINE whale watching!! 😀

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Josh and I thank you from Tug Time! It was a great day to sit on the bow, marvel at the beautiful mammals, and get the first mild sunburn of the season. Happy and successful watching to you and your guests tomorrow.

Your first post here - welcome aboard! Beautiful boat you have. Tell us more about it and how you're use it.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

captnjim,
Tug Time is available for charter in Bellingham. I think the folks you saw had it for the week.

Ah, thanks for the update. Nice that someone has a Ranger in charter... try before you buy.

This has to be some kind of record. 28 hours without a post. Must be great boating weather all over the world, as everyone must be out boating and not writing about it.

Walldog, Willie and Jake at Friday Harbor.

Well, it was a pretty fine day out on the water today: whales to the left, whales to the right! 😀

And a photo of Herb, Wilma, the Blonde, and Jake the wonderdog...

My buddy Josh and I had 10 great days in the San Juans and Canada Gulf Islands thanks to 2010 Ranger Tug Time!'s owners, San Juan Yachting of Bellingham, and Bob and Nita Ostlund of Nellie Too. Can't wait to get back.

Well, I didn't see any Ranger Tugs out there today (did see a C-Dory 22), but what a beautiful day on the water...

We weren't out on our boat, but I had a boat-full of happy guests on the whale watch boat. Not bad running someone else's fuel. 😉

Best wishes,
Jim B.
