Saw a Ranger Tug today on the west side of San Juan Island..

The weather weasels didn't forecast it right... thank goodness. It turned out to be a spectacular day on the water, with a mostly sunny afternoon, near calm water, and light wind. We had a nice group of people on the whale watch boat today, and they were treated to plenty of Killer Whale activity.

In that post, I do mention one private boater who violated all the distance rules. As we headed north, I did see a beautiful blue hull Ranger Tug... and that was certainly NOT the violator. So, if you were driving a blue hull Ranger Tug on the west side of San Juan Island today... wasn't that some FINE whale watching!! 😀

My buddy Josh and I had 10 great days in the San Juans and Canada Gulf Islands thanks to 2010 Ranger Tug Time!'s owners, San Juan Yachting of Bellingham, and Bob and Nita Ostlund of Nellie Too. Can't wait to get back.

We weren't out on our boat, but I had a boat-full of happy guests on the whale watch boat. Not bad running someone else's fuel. 😉
