does anyone have a picture of the R29 with a screen for the door? Saw one at Poets Cove, but didn't think about taking a picture. We want a screen door and trying to decide "white" or "black". Does air still flow through the cabin?
Thanks,
Lisa

Didn't someone install a modified invisible type (vertical roll up) screen door?

I have one on my R-27. Installed by the PO.
Rolls up and down, nicely. Airflow is good.
Photos might be available if I can figure out how to post them.
Or by email.

Getting a User Photo Album for your Ranger Tug is easy but it requires submitting a request from within the site structure.

1. Sign on to the site, if you aren't already.

2. Select the User Control Panel link from the upper left corner of any page. Note: On the home page, this link is in your user menu.

3. Click the Usergroups tab, then select the radio button next to the User Albums group.
Scroll down, choose "Join selected" in the drop-down menu, and click the Submit button.

Once you do this, an email is automatically sent to the administrator (me). That message will trigger my ability to approve your request, and you'll receive an email indicating your membership in the User Albums group has been activated.

I'll watch for the message, and look forward to seeing your pictures.

Cheers,

Bruce

There are at least two of us on tug nuts that have screen doors from Plisse in Texas. They are custom created and I can send the measurements that I made and used. One word of caution is that there is very little margin for error - probably less than an eighth of an inch. I think I posted pictures - as did the other individual but I will check and follow-up. The screen door is great and it is my wife's favorite birthday gift by far.

Looks like I never posted a pic . If you search "Retractable Screen Door" you will see Tom's.

I have an R31 and I made roll up screens for the back door and the forward door, using fly screen material (black) which sticks on with several velcro anchors .The air does flow through easily and they are easy to take off and store on the little shelf above the helm seat. There already is velcro around the back door for the factory supplied privacy screens. Very little cost, and easy to buy that material at a place like Home Depot or Lowe's. Jim Grier

I tried to take some good photos, but it was so bright outside. Basically, this is a self-roll-up screen that rides in aluminum extrusion guides on each side of the doorway (inside). A latch extrusion at the bottom and the roll-up mechanism at the top.
The only marking is "Genius". Pretty unobtrusive and invisible. It works smoothly when handled with some care. Not for kids running in and out.

I just got approved to post photos, so I'll give it a try.
Look for my photos in my photo album.
(I also took a movie, but I'm guessing they aren't allowed.)

The plisse screen door I have moves side to side. We originally looked into vertical pull down ones which are nice too but for us we liked the more familiar operation of a sliding screen door.

Made with screen repair parts and some hinges and latches from home depot. Folds up into the ceiling and is tied off to a nautical looking cleat.
