R-23. Has anyone come up with a screen, or screen door, for the cabin door?

The pop up window, I guess I could whip up a screen that velcros around the inside of said window, much like the front slider windows. Anyone come up with another idea?
Thanks,

On our R-27 we bought a screen from Amazon that has a magnetic strip for the opening. Had my mother-in-law use the door cover as a template and cut the screen down and sew re-enforced velcro edges around it. Works absolutely great.

Admiral S,
Thank you. I have 2 of these magnet screens. I never thought to use the door cover as a template with Velcro. Did you Velcro the screen all the way around the door? I would think it'd be too tight unless you left some slack in the screen.

The Screen is velcro all around. During the day, I use 2 pieces of furry velcro to effectively "Disconnect" the bottom so it is much easier to get in and out. At night i remove the 2 strips and velcro the bottom of the door closed to keep bugs out. Not really an issue during the day.

Hmmm sounds like what I have been looking to put on my 27OB. Thanks for the info

I just spent 3 days on Barnegat Bay in NJ. The Green Head flies like to carry me away. Looking around the boat I see screens for every opening except the back door and window. I need to do this!

We had a custom heavy duty screen made for our C28. Velcro all around with a cutout for the door handle when needed. Love it! Local upholstery shop made it.

The Shearwater is fitted with 5 Shadescreens. Keeps out the hot sun or screens the hatches. Looks nice and works well.

Previous owner installed a great screen door. It rolls up into a spring loaded header above (and inside) the door. Runs in tracks down each side. Photos in my album don't show it very well. Works great, totally smooth and trouble free.

I don't know where he got it, custom made or not?
I'll look for a label today. I don't need to use it very much.
The velcro doors are certainly cheaper and easier to install but I'm glad I have this one.

The manufacturer is Genius Screens. On the internet.

I had a phantom screen door on a previous cat. Loved it. Trouble free, easy to use.
