Over the past 24 hrs it looks like seagulls had a seafood festival on the bimini and cabin roof on my 25SC. I found crab legs and parts of fish as well as many poop spots on the bimini. I removed the bimini in preperation for tropical storm Hermine coming our way and have cleaned it up. There are various gull deterrants on the market, what works?

Brian,
I have strung a line from my mast to the back of the bimini. I attached cd's of terrible movies about 16 inches apart. That has worked. It may have been the titles of the movies that chased them away. The worst was " Dr. "T" and the woman". 😀

Some people mount the fake owls. Others have those gizmos the are on a pivot and swirl around in the wind. Sounds like you have some birds that may have a severe always on macerator issue. Maybe you could install an Airhead for them. It should work out because most birds don't have whizzers.

OK so here's what I'm thinking on doing based on the responses. I'll modify the smoke stack into an Airhead and the gulls can sit there watching my old movies!

Run some fishing line accross a couple points over Bimini....
Interferes with there radar, won't come near it

I remove the line when I leave port. As a courtesy to the seagulls I do it at intermission. 😀
