Seakeeper on R43?

Howdy Tugnuts!
This is my first post.

Proud owner of a Cutwater C30CB which I absolutely love. But we're ready for something bigger and have an R-43CB on order. I'm excited to be joining the RT Family! I still have some time to decide on options and wondering if anyone has one with the Seakeeper. I would love to hear what you think, especially if you're in the northwest.

A few months ago the gyro question was a part of a quick community survey: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17909&p=117269&hilit=gyro#p117269
Findings/community response:
Roll prevention/gyrostabilizer:
• Only 10% want to see gyrostabilizer in a new boat. I think it makes sense considering ROI; additionally, in most cases we would like to have it if we spend prolonged periods of time at sea/long passages. For shorter trips e.g. around the Puget Sound it might not be needed as much
• 50% indicated very strong resistance to having gyrostabilizer, it could be the price increase that’s hard to justify. From what I understand, the price tag might go up by at least $30K…
• 40% are OK either way, something along the ‘meh’ lines. Having gyro stabilizer in a new model would not be a huge/deciding factor for at least 40% of the respondents. I think the deciding factor will be the price point… Again, I’ve been wrong before but the data clearly shows no gyrostabilizer wanted in a new boat
I'm by no means an 'old salt' but from my limited experience I think it will be desirable for something like Gulf of Alaska crossing, in all other cases carefully choosing the weather might do the trick. Let us know what you think and whether you end up getting one, would be great to get your feedback! And congrats on your R43, what a beautiful state of the art boat it is!

Sure wish I could add one to my C26, just no room. I am on the west coast in California, and obviously pick and choose our adventures based on cooperating weather. However, some in the family get a little uneasy in mild seas, and this would do wonders for those passengers.....not to mention when I am solo fishing offshore. The prices are coming down fast.

I too have a 43 cb on order and went with the gyro , my wife is a fair weather boater and hopefully this will allow us to go out more

I have a 43 (2021) and it has the gyro. It is my understanding that FM does not use Seakeeper brand. We find our gyro to take a long time to come up to speed and is a power hog. You need to run the generator to power the gyro. Once at full speed, it does make a noticeable difference to prevent roll at lower speeds.
