Just took delivery of our brand new R27OB and noticed black sealant drippings on the white deck from the factory windshield installation. It’s very noticeable and it needs to be removed before ceramic coating application next Monday. Has anyone experienced this, and any suggestions on what solvent might remove it?

Two suggestions:
1 contact an auto windshield shop for adhesive remover or
2. try acetone. Normally works well but use lots of clean towels or rags because it can try to keep spreading especially on a light colored surface. Most hardware or box stores have it in the quart size for under $10. Many good uses. Then you can follow up with some Prepsol which is used to wipe down surfaces before painting. Find at a paint supply store or some auto parts stores that sell auto paint supplies. Use gloves to protect your hands.

Just heard from the folks @Ranger. They’re confident that Acetone will do the trick. Thanks for the suggestions.

We just started noticing this. It looks like it's coming from the black sealant around the mirrored eyebrow windows. Does anyone know how to make it stop? I clean the mirrored windows and then they are covered with black. And it drips down the side of the boat.
