I saw this seaplane landing near the boat yesterday; can someone identify it?

Looks like a Cessna 185.

Looks like the vertical stabilizer has a curved top . If so ...... I don't think even older 185s had the curve , so the only look alike I can think of is a luscomb ..... Old

I picked up on the curved vertical stab also and the rest of the plane looks Cessna, so maybe an old 195...

Can't be a 195 cuz of the radial engine and the plane in the pic does not have that . Back to luscomb ........ Your move .... LOL

Curved vertical stabilizer = Cessna 170 built between 1948 and 1956; I think they had a 6 cyl. continental - very smooth running.

Great guesses, but it's a Radio Controlled Model Seaplane.

Sometimes, a little perspective changes what we think we see.

The photos were iPhone photos grabbed very quickly, and un-retouched except for brightness, contrast and sharpness, and re-sized to not take up so much space.

Ah, you sly old dog - well done! If I could get a radio controlled miniature of my boat maybe I could have saved a lot of money trying to impress everyone!

Oh so sneaky!! or; I'm so easily deceived! ha, ha!!

Ah, was about to say that if this was on Allatoona (Army Corps Lake) Sea Planes are prohibited. TVA lakes are permitted. Watched a guy fly a remote control helicopter off his boat adjacent to the BAE Systems Shipyard on the St, John's River Saturday. BAE security had positioned their boat between him and the cruiser that was in the drydock.
