Searchlight on R23

Has anyone installed a searchlight on the mast of an R23? If so, would you please share how you did it? Not sure how/where to run wires. Thanks!

I've been def wanting to. I think It would be a good idea to temp mount a portable spotlight up on the mast and see how well it works. I've held a light out the starboard window and the reflection off the railing was pretty bad. Maybe getting it higher will solve the issue. ???? The other idea would be to set up a removable mount on the bow near anchor. As far as wiring locations, I have not checked it out. Let us know what you come up with

l’ve got a 12v plugin, with a remore control, installed on the higher flat plate on the mast. It has a base that stays on the mast, and the light itself clicks onto the base easily. I use the 12v socket on the port side, and just run the cord though the port forward roof hatch. The light has both vertical and horizontal control, so the reflection problem goes away. I haven’t used it in heavy rain yet, but I don’t expect a problem with it.
