Greetings;

We want to invite you to our two short seminars at the upcoming Seattle Boat Show. We have owned three Ranger Tugs over the past 10 years by starting with a Ranger 25 that was taken to the Broughtons, Lake Powell, throughout the Salish Sea and from Davenport, Iowa to Mobile Bay. Our Ranger 29 took us on the entire Great Loop for a year. Today, our Ranger 27 is our east coast boat and last summer we explored the historic canals in New York State and Canada.

On Thursday, January 31, we will be talking about The Great Loop and a trip that will change your life. This hour-long presentation starts at about 2 PM. We have done versions of this presentation to groups, rendezvous, and boat shows.

On Friday, February 1, we will give a taste and a preview of our two-day seminar called “Comfortable Cruising in Smaller Boats.” This hour long presentation will start at about 3 PM. The two-day seminar will cover a host of topics with the intention of increasing your confidence and comfort while cruising. The seminar will be held in Everett and the dates will soon be announced but it will not be April 6 or 7.

We are the authors of the frequently viewed websites: www.laurieann-ranger25.com, www.andiamo-ranger29.com and www.tribute-kadeykrogen39.com that also has our trips with Trilogy, a Ranger 27. We have been published in Sea Magazine, Boat US and Trailering magazines. We have been boating for 30 years. John is a license Coast Guard Captain and Laurie is a former teacher and park ranger.

We hope to see you at the boat show. Send us a PM if there is a question that we can answer.

If you’re going to the Seattle Boat Show you need to take the time to attend John and Laurie’s presentations. John and Laurie attended our Great Lakes Rendezvous on the Trent Severn Waterway in Ontario last summer, where they also gave the presentation on the Great Loop. I’d have to say it was the highlight of our presentations and highly recommend anyone attend who’s planning on doing the Great Loop or simply enjoys gaining knowledge about cruising options.

John and Laurie,

Thank you for all your efforts in the boating community!

Your website is invaluable to me, especially owning a R-29 classic. I’ve even printed some of the pages from your website on maintenance and use them for reference! As we will be resuming the loop soon, the Great Loop section also is inspirational and very informative.
Having attended the Orillia Rendezvous, like Jim, I can highly recommend spending the time to attend their talks!

Happy boating!

The Boat Show has started!

If you wondered what the Great Loop is, a 6,000 mile trip of mainly inland waters through the heart of the United States and Canada, and if your Ranger Tug or Cutwater can do it (Yes!) then come to our presentation on Thursday, January 31 at about 2PM.

The next day, February 1 is a preview and taste of our two-day seminar and workshop, "Comfortable Cruising on Smaller Boats" that starts at about 3PM. The two day seminar will cover a host of topics of skills, lessons learned and ideas that is all intended to raise your confidence and comfort as a boater. We have cruised for 30 years and owned 9 boats, which three of them were Ranger Tugs and John is a licensed Captain. All of this will presented while talking about cruising the Salish Sea, the Broughtons, the Inside Passage to Alaska and the Great Loop. The two-day events will be held in Everett, WA on April 26 and 27 and June 14 and 15. More information will be presented at the Boat Show or email me at johnlgray425@gmail.com.
