Seattle Boat Show

Going to the Seattle Boat Show. Any recommendations on lodging and transportation aside from the Hotels listed? Most likely flying in. (This is our first time here)Any advice is appreciated
Going to be looking at the 29 or31 Tugs New or used

We like the Hotel Ändra. Here's $25 if you book through the Hotel Tonight app using code KHALSTEAD3. Uber is an easy way to get around downtown Seattle. I don't know about transportation to and from the airport though.

You can ride the Link Light Rail all the way from the airport to downtown Seattle. It's cheap and easy if you don't have too much baggage.

We went to the show in 2015 and bought our tug there. Got a great deal. Stayed at the hotel right across the street from the convention center, the Silver Cloud....very nice. You can ride the light rail to the hotel from the airport although it is a four block (or so ) walk from the station to the hotel. The convenience made up for the somewhat higher cost. they have shuttles to the in-the-water show in Union Lake.

You can walk to Century Link from anywhere downtown. We live at the north end of downtown (First Ave and Broad) and walk to the show every year. It's a pretty compact city. If this is your first visit, I'd stay anywhere from Seattle Center to the retail core (roughly Pike/Pine between the water and about 8th Ave). That way you'll see a lot just coming and going to the show. If you're not up for the walk, there are plenty of public and gig transportation options.

Nita and I have been attending the Seattle boat show for the last number of years. Recently we have been staying at the Silvercloud hotel at South Lake Union. They have a free shuttle which they have given us rides every year to the boat show at Century Link and have picked us up for returns back to Lake Union. The Lake Union area is also where Seattle has the boats afloat show which we have gone to every year on the following day. Its about a two block walk to the boats afloat show from the hotel. There is a free breakfast at the hotel.

bunch of hotel options downtown. westin, andra, 4 seasons. hyatt, sheraton. everyone has a property here. weekend rates might be surprisingly affordable at some of the properties.

if you stay at the Andra or Westin I will wave as I live across the street from both! 😀

uber from airport to downtown is 25$. takes 20-25 mins. lightrail takes forever but it is very cheap.
book the uber before you get to the uber pick up point. it can take a few minutes for the uber to arrive due to the airports ridiculous rules on the uber pick up location.
I would have it booked before leaving the terminal and walking across the gantry to the carpark.
it can be rather chilly waiting over there.

if you are staying downtown the bus tunnel is a great way to get down to century link field. enter underneath nordstroms as its not game day though an uber is probably easiest.

also there is the south lake union tram which can take you to where the boats afloat show is and then the free shuttle to century link field from SLU
getting an orca card could be useful for the buses/trams.

We would never stay anywhere in Seattle than at the Edgewater. Room with a fireplace and watch all the water traffic right out your window. Priceless!
