My son has asked me to take him down and around the lower portion of the Duwamish River (known as the Duwamish Waterway). He has an interest in seeing the areas on both sides of the river from the water side and wants to take photos. I have no concern for doing this, but do ask other Tugnuts in the Seattle area if there are any restrictions to pleasure boats navigating this section of the river? How far down the river should we venture before encountering difficulties ?

We're likely to do this before the end of this week while the weather holds for us. 🙂

TIA...

It's a fascinating ride, actually. You'll see the back side of Boeing field, deteriorating industrial infrastructure, and revitalized stretches of waterfront. Lot's of tug and freighter activity, and run-down private marinas with emphatic "no wake" signs. We've gone as far as Delta Marine, where mega-yachts are built and commissioned, passing under major roadways and railways. Here are a few pictures.

Cheers,

Bruce

Thanks Bruce... It should be an interesting ride, and I'll post back after we've done it.
