Anyone have an issue with their head filling up with seawater (not waste water) on its own? After a flush the bowl is empty, but if I check it a little later it’s almost completely full of water. Just wondering what the issue might be and what needs replaced. Guessing a valve or something. Thanks!

Joker valve is bad. The flush water is running back to head bowl.

I thought that at first, but it's clean water. When the seacock is closed it doesn't happen. Seems to be seawater through the intake. Fills the bowl to about the waterline of the boat and stops.

On my r27 the head is above water line. Not an issue. But in your case there should have been a vent loop above waterline. Look at standard installation diagrams for heads online. Mostly important for sailboats that heel, perhaps not so much for our boats. Depending on pump, which may operate as barrier, water will of course travel to equalize the level in the bowl thru the thruhull, the lines, and the pump. If this did not happen before, perhaps the raw flush pump may be damaged in the diaphragm mechanism. Perhaps some debris stuck keeping the pump valves open. Time to inspect.

Upon further inspection, it does appear that the toilet is above the waterline. I guess I was assuming that is where it was stopping. Looks like it's time for some disassembly and inspection! You might be right about the pump.
