What creative ideas have people come up with to secure items in the galley and bathroom when underway in rough seas (Atlantic Ocean)?

It is hardly creative, but all unsecured items on the counter get stowed in cabinets or (for example our kitchen tool holder) put into the sink. Surprising how much will fit in the sink and it only takes a moment to stow or recover them.

We put some items like olive oil, salt shaker etc in drink cozies and stuff them behind the rail on the port side of the galley. The foam snugs the items in there and they stay right there when the boat is gyrating.

We bought a bunch of plastic tapered rectangular "cups" from Ikea that have a hook on the back side. They hang on railings in multiple places of the boat. Some of the railings were installed primarily to hold these cups. If anyone is interested in a picture, send an email address in a private message.

A bunch of styrofoam wedges works well to tight fit items in racks and nooks. Cheap and easil made from scrap sheet stock.
