Seeking Ranger partnership - MdR or Redondo

My wife and I want to test the Ranger and are interested in easing into it with a boat partnership. Very experienced fishers and good with boats and ocean (though haven't often piloted boats over 18'). Know the local waters moderately well and are cautious by nature. Responsible, level-headed, organized, professional -- and easy going. Science editor and nurse couple in early 50s. Looking for a by-the-book partnership everyone is comfortable with, but we are first timers on partnerships. Open to all advice and conversations. Thanks!

A partnership scenario is often done with planes and can work well with the right people. Remember, contracts cannot necessarily dictate behavior. If I remember correctly AOPA, a pilots association, has sample contracts online that address multiple owners and can be used as a guide for you. However, a plane, versus a boat that one can "live" on do have some different emotional aspects. I see the major drawback being decorating and storage of supplies. There has to be clear understandings of that as well as adding things. Everything can work with the right people. As with any agreement, it isn't about getting in, it is about getting out. How you unravel the partnership is very important.
