You can get them at Walmart for under $30 as well. It’s not just eBay that’s the problem with questionable parts from China.
I have bought and sold new and used camera gear on eBay for 26 years now. I won’t buy anything more than a camera strap or lens cap from outside the USA on eBay. And I only buy from businesses having storefronts on eBay with long term presence and 100% positive feedback ratings. I also avoid buying anything on the Walmart web site.
Yesterday I bought some parts for my WeighSafe hitch directly from them on eBay because they are faster shipping and less expensive than what many of their dealers can do. I buy almost all of my Victron Energy parts from Inverters R US on eBay because of their great pricing and excellent customer service.
Find a few reputable USA parts sources for your VP engine and buy USA. I have about a dozen well regarded vendors I use for VP parts and price shop between them. Sometimes there’s a significant price difference between the vendors I use and sometimes not much difference at all.
The absolute worst part that’s counterfeited seems to be the ZF transmission filters. Even the reputable USA sellers seem to be carrying fakes.
