Andrew, I have talked with Tim and he had a plausible explanation in that fuel may have filled the vent line. It did "burp" out the vent when filling. I did not find any excess slack in the vent line as he suggested I inspect. Also looked at all the connections. On my next trip I will try filling without getting fuel in the vent line to see if this is the root cause.
Separately, we discussed the Volvo campaign Q0245 that is in effect on my engine. As I work with the Volvo Service Center to accomplish this I will follow up on the sensor. Editorially, they are not very interested in campaign work.
By the way it appears the campaign was in affect when you built the boat so you might want to check your inventory and obviously the commissioning check by the Volvo Service Tech did not identify it either.
