On my 2011 R29 with Yanmar 260 I recently developed a service engine alarm with no specific faults highlighted.
the engine appeared to continue running fine as I proceeded toward a marina. Then about an hour into the alarm and in rapid succession I lost all engine status readings (rpm/temp/oil pressure etc)and the gps service on my Garmin chart plotter. I am now in Melborne FL waiting for the local Yanmar rep to shop up and find the problem. After a night of charging on shore power all voltages are fine but upon restarting the problem has not self corrected. It has been suggested that this may all be related to low amperage and the effects thereof on solid state electronics.
any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Phone is fine as wifi here is not great.
