Hello. I'm going to buy a C248 and was wondering if anyone had thoughts on the new servo steering compared to hydraulic. Specifically regarding DIY repairability.
I'm a poor skipper that's going to get a fancy boat. Right now, I have a nice boat and I do a lot of my own maintenance. Honestly it's more about the fun and cred than saving money.
But I'm wondering if the servo steering and new throttle (but mostly the steering) are self-serviceable, or in any way repairable on-water. I know for some things, switching out a servo is really easy.
