The shackle affixed to the RIB used to attach the line used to winch the RIB and davit up on my R27OB pulled out from the RIB

Any thoughts on how to reattach this shackle?

Thanks!

Just to follow-up, I was told by parts on the phone that I could purchase a replacement swivel pad (what I originally refered to as the shackle) from Weaver, and I should contact Weaver to discuss how to remove the damage swivel pad.

I am able to see the swivel pads (as well as the adhesive to attach the new pad) on Weaver's WEB site.

I contacted Weaver and was told that carefully applying heat from a heat gun will soften the adhesive and once softened I could use a putty knife or flat blade screwdriver to pry up the edge of the pad. Too much heat will blister the hypalon air chamber, so provide the heat evenly, moving around the pad. Once an edge has been pealed up pliers could be used to grip the pad and pull it off.

Cheers,

We have a pad that attaches the dinghy to the Weaver front stand-off. After 500 hours of bouncing up and down and back and forth the pad slowly but progressively detached from the dinghy tube.
This spring I ordered Stabond two part adhesive to fix the problem. Hardest part was removing the old yellowed adhesive. So far the Stabond is working great! Works on both PVC and hypalon materials.
