Greetings one and all,

I am attending a conference in Long Beach, Calif., and will be until Sunday. On my flight in a few hours ago, the water looked awesome and I really got the urge to go boating. I am used to putzing around in my R-21 EC, the Red Ranger, in the waters of the Pacific Northwest. I've never boated outside of that region, and would love to spend some SoCal time on the water.

So I decided to make a shameless inquiry to see if there is any tugnutter in this area who plans to go out in their boat Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning. If there is, can I hitch a ride? I will happily pay for fuel and even buy you a bite to eat and brewskie at The Tides restaurant in my hotel, the Hyatt Regency.

There's a marina across the street called Shoreline Marina, but I would happily take a cab to another local marina if that helps.

If someone in this area can help a fellow tugnutter out, I would be most appreciative. Just send me a PM here and we'll see what we can put together.

Thanks, in advance, for any help you can provide.

So between the both of you you should be able to put the whole 2019 Inside Passage trip together this weekend then ;-)

I think more “shameless requests” would be a good thing. Certainly easier than trailering your boat a thousand miles to see what the waters like somewhere else.
