Shifter/ Throttle lever is not moving on 2005 R21

Hi-
we have the boat for over 10 years now (love it!) and now, for the first time, the shifter/throttle lever is not moving, neither forward nor back. Any initial steps or replacement parts you can recommend?

Hello Thomas,

I would disconnect the cables on the engine and then try and move the throttle into forward and reverse. This will help us determine if the problem is with the cables or throttle.

Thank you, Kenny, this is appreciated! It'll take some time until I go to the boat next, it's just been put into winter storage...
