Happy Holidays to fellow Tugnuts!
I have a problem with electrical power going to supply the boat.
Here are the circumstances:
I plugged the boat into my un-grounded house exterior outlet. Up at the helm, the reversed polarity lights were on and the meter on the right side showed a reading for power coming in. I plugged 2 regular lights into the boat outlets to generate some dry heat. In Pennsylvania, the temps were 5 to 15 degrees . I checked it about 5 times and everything was on and fine .
The nest time, lights were off and no reading on the power display at helm.. The shore power line did exhibit an active red light, however all electric power was off. The port and starboard boat outlets are not tripped.I did open the hatch and the main breaker was thrown. I flipped the main breaker back and still nothing.

I am heading to the keys and needed any advice about my problem. Next year I will not used an un-grounded outlet to keep battery charge up.
Thank you and any thoughts would be helpful.

My first question would be, why is your house exterior outlet ungrounded? I’m not an electrician but I would think this needs to be corrected. I can understand why the reverse polarity light was on based on the ungrounded outlet. IMO you need to correct the ungrounded outlet first and then see if things work properly.

The ELCI may have tripped. I would find a grounded outlet and see if it will work then. Two light bulbs should not cause an overload.
