Has anyone come up with a good solution to keep the water away from the cabinet, sink and more importantly the mirror/electronics panel? When pulling the plexiglass 'curtain' around it shields the door and toilet just fine, but leaves the cabinet wood, sink and more importantly mirror panel exposed to overspray from showering. I wouldn't mind this much except that the mirror panel doesn't seal completely, thus leaving a gap for water and moisture to get behind. I'm a little nervous about this given that all the wiring for the navigation and diagnostics sits behind this panel.

Thanks,
TJM

I should have mentioned we are running a CW-30

Would Recmar ceiling track and a shower curtain on that side be an option? The photo below shows it installed in our R25.

Recmar comes as a kit or you can purchase accessories individually (track, shower curtain clips, mounting brackets, etc.) Here's one source: http://www.sailrite.com/RECMAR-4372-Deluxe-Shower-Curtain-Kit-72-Long

The plexiglass is meant to be pulled all the way around to the mirror panel, leaving the door exposed. But the door seal leaks. Cutwater is aware of this, and in my case supplied me with a curtain to protect the door. Works great. The curtain is installed with snaps. Ask Cutwater if they will supply you with this solution.

I think I came up with a solution. when I ever get to JoAnn's or maybe just Target, I'm going to sew a very large shower cap for the panel.

We use the shower on our 29 all the time. I purchased an 8 ft wide shower curtain and I have a bunch of suction cups with hooks I put all around the bathroom The only exposed part is the fibreglass where the shower nozzle is. I leave the suction cups up all the time and when not in use the shower curtain is hanging out of the way on the fibreglass part. Have used this method for a few years and works great. I push the shower curtain onto the counter and toilet seat and place shampoo or conditioner bottles ( always seems to be lots of those ) to hold it in place. This adds to the elbow room. I have thought of the track and A) I hate putting any holes into the boat B) I think I get more room this way

I do something similiar to Irish Mist. I bought two standard shower curtains and cut and sewed them together to make one 7 feet in length. It is strung on shock cord that is around s/s fittings that are cabinet pulls from Lee Valley and fastened to the overhead. It seems to work better than the track system that is designed for a 6 foot curtain. The enclosure includes the ceiling hatch and stored bunched up at the shower wand. This approach has increased the usable headroom in the head - I am 6-5, so every half inch helps.
